William Lloyd Smith
June 29, 1951~Dec. 31, 2015

William Lloyd Smith, age 64, of Lorena, Texas, formerly of Valley Mills passed away on December 31, 2015.  Memorial service will be 11 A.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the Searsville Country Church near Valley Mills, Texas, under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Lloyd was born on June 29, 1951, in Breckenridge, Texas,  to Harl and Alvia (Wampler) Smith.  Lloyd was a 1971 graduate of Valley Mills High School and married Florence Smith on June 5, 1971, in Valley Mills.  Early in their married life Lloyd and Florence won several dance contests.  He had worked on the construction of Palo Pinto General Hospital in Mineral Wells.  He had worked in the oil fields and at the gas station when gas was 18 cents a gallon.   Lloyd was devoted to his family especially his grandson Jeric.    He had formerly own Lloyd's Hair Care in different locations around Waco  and was currently working at Salon One until he was force to retire due to his health.  Lloyd always consider his customers to be family.   He was  a member of the Valley Mills First Baptist Church.  When he living in Valley Mills, he was very active in the choir and had designed many of their theatrical sets for their programs.

Survivors include his wife Florence, a son Jason Smith, a grandson Jeric;  4 brothers; 2 sisters; other close family; Winnie Smith Stephens, Wayne and Betty Light, Reba and Marvin Yates, and his dog Bentley.
