William (Bill) Mac Leach

January 6, 1932 ~ March 10, 2026

William (Bill) Mac Leach, 94, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in a Waco hospital.

Bill was born in Woodsbend, KY. to parents, Oscar and Mae Leach. He graduated from Ezel High School in Ezel, KY. in May 1950. He joined the United States Air Force in 1952 and was stationed in CA, TX. and the Azores. There he trained as an airplane mechanic, rose to the rank of Staff Sgt., and received an Honorable Discharge on January of 1963. Bill married Jane Scott of Bosqueville on June 25, 1955. While working a short time with the City of Waco, he completed a correspondence course in Practical Electronics and took a job with the Texas Highway Department as a radio repair man. He retired after 27 years. Bill's hobbies included fishing, hunting, vegetable gardening, woodworking, tying trout flies, playing golf, reading, and playing with his dog, Boy.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Mae Leach. Wife, Jane Scott Leach. Several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Survivors include, daughter, Janet Leach Combs & husband, Patrick. Sister-in-Law, Laurita Scott Kuehl. Many nieces, nephew and great-nieces & great-nephews.

A special thank you to his Friday lunch group of friends. One highlight of his life was a trip to Alaska where he enjoyed fishing. He came from a time when people knew how to do things for themselves and make it if you needed it. He and Jane built their home almost exclusively on their own in 1972. Bill enjoyed returning to Kentucky to see family and friends. He worked hard his entire life and never gave up. My Mama and I always had what we needed.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 10 A.M. , May 2, 2026.  at the Bosqueville Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
