Obituary

Waylon Autry Williams
September 25, 2023 - August 28, 2024

Waylon Autry Williams passed away August 28, 2025, due to a spinal cord injury caused at birth and any medical complications that stemmed from that injury.

He is survived by his mother and father,  Lail and Matthew Williams, two siblings Emerite and Loklun Williams, his grandparents: Rick and Kim Williams (Mamo and BawBaw) of Crawford, Texas; Kathy de Launay (Kappy) of Loreauville, Louisiana; Bobby de Launay (Pop) of St. Martinville, Louisiana; his Aunt and Uncles: Heidi de Launay-Olivier of St. Martinville, Louisiana; Chris Hill of Ft. Worth, Texas; Mallory and Newell Bullard of McGregor, Texas, and their two children Quaid and Mackie Bullard.

Waylon was loved by many people in his short life being friends, family, church family, nursing staff, hospital staff, and therapy staff.  He brought so much joy and love into the lives that he touched. Waylon was not able to speak or move but the little guy had the biggest personality than anyone. He could tell you a story with nothing but his facial expression. You could tell what kind of mood he was in by walking into his room and reading his expression. He would give his mother and his best friend Makenzie his side eye when he thought they were bothering him too much. The other side of the coin is he would just light up when was excited to see his family and friends. His eyes would get so big when he would hear "Good morning pumpkin butt" from his Mom. Dad would try to stir that hornet's nest and he would stare right into his soul. Most of our deep conversations with him were just staring at each other and you knew exactly what he wanted to say. He brought so much joy and love into our family. He will be missed dearly.

Memorial services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, August 31st  at the Church of Christ in Valley Mills, Texas, with Pat Richardson officiating under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
