Walker Lee Coia
February 9, 2026 ~ February 10, 2026
Walker Lee Coia, born on Monday, February 9th, 2026, passed peacefully in his parents' loving embrace at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas on Tuesday, February 10th, 2026. He weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 19 inches long.
His family is incredibly thankful to have been blessed with almost 4 hours with him before he went to his heavenly home. In those 4 precious hours, Walker received hugs and kisses from his family, listened to his mommy and daddy sing and pray over him, and was told "I love you" an uncountable number of times. The amount of love and joy Walker brought during his short time will be remembered and cherished by all who loved him.
Walker was the answer to his parents' prayers, and they will love and miss him for the rest of their lives. They find comfort in knowing that they will hold him again in Heaven one day, and feel at peace with the fact that his heart is finally whole and safe in the arms of his Creator.
He is deeply loved and survived by his parents, Zachary and Katelyn (Deeringer) Coia, his grandparents, Deanna Coia, and Justin and Stephanie Deeringer, as well as his uncles and aunts, Tyler, Noah, Amanda, and Hannah Deeringer, and Mac Brosnan, and cousins, Waylon, Gracie, Riley, and Stetson Deeringer, Mason, Cassie, Cade, Colton, Carter, Sophie, Kimberly, Chelsea, Elizabeth, and Matilda. He is also survived by his great-grandparents, Alec and Martha Deeringer, and J.M. Finstad, great-uncle and aunt Justin and Lindsay Byrd, and Pat and Debbie Beane, and Michael and Connie Schmalriede, and great-great uncle Craig Bean.
He is being greeted in Heaven by a multitude of people, including his great-grandparents, Max Walker, Allene Finstad, and Bill and Janet Rutz.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Labor and Delivery staff at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, whose care and compassion during unimaginable loss made all of the difference.
Graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. February 16, 2026, at the Crawford Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation will be prior to the service at the cemetery.
