Vince Lee Fischer was born on October 19th, 1972 to Harold and Carolyn Fischer. After a lot of hard work and determination he spent the last years of his life on a spacious piece of land in Valley Mills, Texas with his wife of 27 years, Jennifer Barton Fischer, and their youngest daughter, Hannah Fischer.
Vince graduated from Lorena High School in 1991, following that he attended Texas State Technical College where he graduated in 1996. He worked hard his entire life providing for his family and showing his love through acts of service. No matter the issue, if you came to him with a problem, he'd always roll up his sleeves and go out of his way to solve it to the best of his abilities. You could always guarantee that if he was around there would be laughter. His sense of humor and quick wit were never lacking even under the toughest of circumstances.
He married the love of his life Jennifer on September 5th, 1992. They spent their honeymoon in San Antonio along the Riverwalk where the couple reveled in their mutual love of history and delicious food. Throughout their happy years together they saw their two daughters grow into women and develop their father's smart mouth and love of all God's creatures.
Vince was extremely proud of all his accomplishments and hobbies. He deeply enjoyed riding his Honda Shadow with his father in law Jim Barton, in true Vince fashion he rode with a group of police officers known as the Blue Knights…without his motorcycle license. A well-timed sarcastic comment and his trademark smirk were all it ever took to get him out of any trouble he found himself in. He achieved his CDL license and began driving trucks for Big Creek Construction until he was injured in 2016. Building a wonderful network of close friends while working on the road at the job he felt most at home at. Vince carried a deep love and appreciation for all animals, never hesitating to save a creature in need and give them a safe and loving home. At the time he departed from this earth he had taken in two rescue horses (Sapphire and Lacey) and nursed them back to health over several months of attention and care. Their brood included 6 dogs (Tex, Dakota, Peanut, Bubbles, Luna, and Tink), 2 cats (Aires and Binx), his pet snake, and a rat that worked its way out of being the snake's lunch and into his heart.
Vince will be missed deeply by his wife Jennifer Barton Fischer and their two daughters Miranda Fischer Horton with her husband Walter, and Hannah Fischer. His parents, Harold and Carolyn Fischer, his sister, Kristi Gonzales, with her husband Jimmy and their children, his brother, Lance Fischer, with his wife Heidi and their son. As well as a large extended family.
Vince is being welcomed into heaven by those who went before him: his paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Aileen Fischer, his maternal grandparents, Margie Harrison and husband Jay, Lee Kea and wife Nadine, and his sister-in-law Alicia Ferral Barton.
