Victoria Garcia March 23, 1914-February 24, 2014 Victoria Garcia, one month short of her 100th birthday, passed away on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, surrounded by family and friends. Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Friday at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the McGregor Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation services. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church. She was born March 23, 1914, in Hondo, Texas, to Luis and Liberada (Gomez) Barerra. She married Juan Garcia in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1982. She was a member of St. Eugene's Catholic Church in McGregor. She was also preceded in death by a son Juan Garcia Jr., a granddaughter Christina Coronado White, and a sister Beatrice. Survivors include 3 daughters: Jovita Gomez of McGregor, Virginia Jasso of Arizona, Florinda Coronado and husband Raymond of Mosheim; 17 grandchildren; 36 grandchildren, and 20 great great grandchildren.
