Vicki Gail Mata, age 53, of Gatesville, Texas, passed away on April 19th in a Gatesville Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Friday, April 24, 2015, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Crawford Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Thursday at Foss Funeral Home. She was the youngest of 8 girls born to Lank and Alma Jean (Thompkins) DeChaume. She was married to Migel Mata on April 16, 1978, in McGregor. Vicki retired in 2014 from the Gatesville Hillside Nursing Home after 20 years of service. Survivors include her husband, Migel Mata, 3 children: Aricelli Nicole Mata, Migel Angel Mata, Krystal Mata; 7 sisters: May Dell White, Shirley Ann Oliver, Patricia Elaine Sheffield, Juanita Marek, Judy Kay DeChaume, Brenda Diane Hilliker, Darlet Danell Demming; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
