Terry Fair Jan. 21, 1967- June 22, 2012 Kimberly Fair Nov. 27, 1967- June 22, 2012 Terry (Shadow Steel) Fair, age 45, and his wife Kimberly Fair, age 44, both died in a house fire at their home in the Yukon River village of Galena, Alaska Friday, June 22, 2012. "Celebration of life" gathering will be held in Galena, Alaska in the next few weeks. A private family committal service will be held at the Valley Mills Cemetery at a later date under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Kimberly Renae (Pressnell) Fair, born November 27, 1967 in McKinney, TX. She graduated from McKinney High School. She was married to Terry Fair in 1992. Kim loved Alaska and the town of Galena. She loved to make baskets, jewelry, and do bead and leather work. She was always busy working or doing arts and crafts. Proceeded in death by Ethan Wolf and Fred & Ola Pressnell. Survived by parents Judy & Terry Carter of Valley Mills, TX and Johnny & Linda Pressnell of McKinney, TX. Sons, Kenny West and wife Brittney of Waco, TX., Shadow Fair of Florida; sisters, Keri Grant of Delaware and Terri Snell of Princeton, TX.; brother, Kevin Carter and wife Michelle of Franklin, TN.; 2 grandsons, Seth and Ethan West, grandmother, Melba Wolf; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Terry Wayne Fair was born on January 21, 1967, in Waco, Texas. He was a 1986 graduate of Midway High School and was former D.J. at 97.5 in the early 90's where he went by the name of Shadow Steel. He married Kimberly Pressnell in 1992. He was currently the general manage of KIYU in Galena and had worked there for the past 12 years. He was known in Galena and surrounding villages for appearances on programming like "Yukon Wireless," a community bulletin board program that announced school lunch menus, upcoming meetings and other village news. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Fair. Survived by parents Sammie and Jackie (Holdbrook) Ivie of Crawford, Wayne and Lois Fair of Hewitt; son, Shadow Fair of Florida; daughter: Lacy Galvan of Temple; step-son, Kenny West and wife Brittney of Waco; brothers, Brian, David, Mike, and Ricky Fair; a brother Charlie Turner; grandparents: James & Frances Holdbrook; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
