Sharon Ann Mitchell, age 66, of Valley Mills passed away at her residence on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday at the Valley Mills Church of Christ under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Sharon was born on January 11, 1945, in Roseville, Michigan. She was the daughter of George and Edith Thackeray. She married Michael Mitchell on June 23, 1980, in Houston, Texas. She had lived in the Houston area most of her life and had lived in Valley Mills for the past 7 years. Sharon was a member of the Valley Mills Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband: Michael Mitchell of Valley Mills; several nieces and nephews.
