Sara was born in Clifton, Texas on November 4, 1958 to BoBo and Jane Patton. She attended school at Valley Mills and graduated in 1977. Sara was married to Terry Faubion on April 12, 1980 at the First United Methodist Church in Valley Mills. They spent 40 years of marriage by each others side working outdoors, attending car races, hunting, and making precious memories with their children and grandchildren.

Sara was often found working on projects outdoors and more times than not she found a way to get others involved in those projects too. For 21 years Sara had her daughter Casey by her side on every adventure. She taught those around her to take time in life to treasure the small things- like finding turkey feathers, playing in the dirt, and taking rides on gravel roads. Sara is preceded in death by her daughter Sara Casey Faubion, her sister Theresa Thomas, and father BoBo Patton.

Sara is survived by her husband Terry Faubion, her mother Jane Smith Patton, son Cody Faubion and wife Ashley and their 5 children, twin brother Randy Patton and daughter Jordan, niece Brandy Wagner and husband David and son Aiden, and other family and friends.
