Samuel Don French, actor, writer, producer, age 45, formerly of Clifton, Texas, went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2025.
Samuel Don French born January 26,1980, in Waco, Texas to Gary Don French and Ruby Darlene Spence.
Samuel graduated from Clifton High School in 1998. (From Clifton Record: French continued doing theater until he was 15, at which point his love for sports prevailed. After high school he played semi-pro and professional indoor football for 11 years . He had stated that he owed a lot of credit to his root of being raised in Clifton as it helped shaped for his biggest role as a professional actor. He said "I just really wanted to bring some glory back to my hometown where it all started. ) He attended MCC and ACC where he found his passion for theater arts and became an actor, writer and producer. He has been a part of numerous projects such as "Fear the Walking Dead", "Texas Rising" and his most recent "Killers of the Flower Moon." He earned an award during his career for Best Supporting Actor in a Feature Film for "Monsters Within." He was very involved with his community and took part in multiple organizations. At an early age he knew God had blessed him with talent. From high school, to college, to California, he followed God's blessings.
He was survived by his Father, Gary Don French of Clifton, Texas. Mother, Ruby Darlene Spence of Clifton, Texas, wife, Melinda French of Dale, Texas, four children, Daniel Campos III, Fabian Campos, Christopher Campos, and Madison French. Brother, Andy French and Daniel French, sister, Gina Kettler and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Valley Mills, Texas.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
