Roy Allen Teague Sr.

Roy was graciously called by our Lord Jesus Christ to his heavenly home Friday morning, Nov. 24, 2017. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean War from Jan. 3, 1951 to Nov. 10, 1954. He was a wonderful husband and father to his two sons Roy Jr. and Charles Wendell Teague. He loved life and his entire family unconditionally. He would do anything to help family or friends in their time of need. His career spanned that of welder and welding inspector, police officer, courier and gate security guard. He loved to piddle around the house and was also very creative. He built model ships ( one out match sticks), pigeon houses for the boys, hen houses, Bird houses, dog houses and even homing pigeon houses! He'd occasionally plant a garden and raise a calf now and then. He also loved to fish in his younger days as well as go both deer and dove hunting. Roy also enjoyed living in the country for a number of years on the Gholson Rd. where he had hens, roosters, ducks, a few calves, a German Shepherd and even a pair of peacocks.
Mr. Teague is survived by his sweet wife Peggy of near 65 years. He was preceded to heaven by his youngest son Charles Wendell Teague. He and PEGGY resides these past 5 years with oldest son Roy Jr. and wife Becky in Midlothian, TX. He is also survived by his youngest sister Lucille Dugger and husband Jesse; Four granddaughters: Felicia Marie Teague, Terri Wendy Williams and husband Chris, Olivia Grace Teague and Amelia (Millie) Rose Teague; Two grandsons: Truett Stanley Teague and wife Jamie, and Eliott James Teague; Five great grand children: Alexander, Victoria and Daniel Hill, Kieran Christopher Williams and Rosalie Teague; Great grandson Jordan Scott Jacobs; Five nieces: Sandra Reed, Pamela Nichols, Judy Schulz, Tami Lintner and Linda Lampert; and a host of grand nieces and nephews.
Roy Teague Sr. graveside service will be 12 noon, Friday, December 1, 2017, at the Valley Mills Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
