Rosie B. Gutierrez passed away on August 20, 2026 in Waco, Texas. She was born in California on March 8, 1958 to Patsy Duckworth and Robert B. Duckworth.
Rosie attended Tivy High School and later moved to West Virginia where she worked for Carl's Jr. as a cook. After moving back to Buda, Texas she worked at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas. She returned to Kerrville where she lived and worked for Dietert Claim before becoming ill and retiring. Four months ago, she moved to Waco to live with family.
Those preceded in death were her mother Patsy Duckworth, father, R. B. Duckworth, sisters Frances Alvarado and Alice Guille, brothers Richard, Robert, and Rudy Duckworth and grandparents Juan and Manuela Ayala.
She leaves behind sisters Virginia Dailey (Waco), Christina Evans (Kerrville), and Tina Lackey (Fort Worth), sister-in-law JaJa Duckworth, favorite aunt Rachel Lara (Kerrville), and many nieces and nephews.
The family will have a memorial service at 10:00 AM, August 29, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 302 Ave. C, Valley Mills, Texas, 76689, with Pastor Adam Hailes officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery in Kerrville, Texas.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the EMS unit, and to the doctors and nurses at Ascension Providence Hospital for their kindness, love, and support.
