Rosalie (Locklear) Alford Aug. 31, 1928~ Dec. 19, 2012 Rosalie Alford, age 84, of Clifton formerly of Valley Mills, passed away Dec. 19, 2012, at her home. Funeral service will be 2 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church in Clifton, Texas. Interment will be in the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4 - 6 PM Saturday at Foss Funeral Home. Rosalie was born on August 31, 1928, near Valley Mills. She was the daughter of Clyde and Nellie Rowena (Gibbons) Locklear. She married Robert Lee Alford on Oct. 11, 1947, in Waco. He preceded her in death in September of this year. She was formerly an assistant administrator of the Valley Mills Care Center and was formerly employed at Hillcrest Hospital as food supervisor. Rosalie was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Coleman Locklear. Survivors include a daughter: Carol Franklin; a grandson: John Franklin Sr. and wife Ary of Temple; 2 great grandchildren: Mary Grace and John Junior; several nieces and nephews.
