Rosa Martinez Pina

Rosa Pina, age 72, died peacefully after a short illness on Friday, January 28, 2022 at local hospital. Funeral service will be 2 P.M. February 5, 2022, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church with Dr. John Wheatley officiating under the direction Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Visitation will be 1 - 2 P.M. just prior to the funeral service.

Rosa was a kind and compassionate being that always put others ahead of herself. She was born in Laredo, Texas to Manuel Daniel and Esther U. Martinez on October 25, 1949. She was an extraordinary mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and wife. Her greatest gift to others was he undivided time and love.

Rose worked for the Texas Department of Human Services, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and after retirement continued to work at Goodwill. She was preceded in death by her mother (Esther), her father (Manuel), her husband (Gilbert Reyes) and her son (Manuel Daniel Reyes).

She is survived by her husband Antonio Pina, her daughters, Terri Reyes Beck (Andy), Sheryl Reyes Lander (Paul), her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Tiffany Hogle (Evangeline and Sophia), Priscilla Niekamp and Clayton Taylor (Meridith), Hailey Rose Niekamp and Joshua E. Picon (Kayson and Alaya-Marie) Emmarose Reyes, Holly Reyes Galliano (Dymitr), Alyssa Reyes, and Gilberto Manuel Reyes.

She is also survived by her sisers and other family members, Tonni Palacios (Gabriel), Sylvia Gonzalez (Arturo), Terri Medellin (Joe), Magda Martinez, Abraham Sosa, and Gabriela Sandoval Reyes (daughter-in-law).
