Rondal (Ron) Hodges, age 84, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017, in a Waco Hospital.  Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at the Patton Baptist Church with Rev. Pat Cummings officiating.  Graveside services will be 3 P.M. Wednesday at the DeLeon Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 A.M. Wednesday just prior to the funeral service at the church.  Memorials may be made to Patton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 538, Valley Mills, Tx. 76689.

Ron was born on May 13, 1932, in Gorman, Texas to Albert Clyde and Lela Mae (Bigham) Hodges.  He attended schools in Gorman and Cisco Jr. College.  He was a Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.   He married Marjorie Dyer on August 30, 1957.  They had moved to Valley Mills in 1972.   Ron had served in the Waco Police Department and retired from Central Freight Lines in 1990.  He was a member of the Patton Baptist Church.

Survivor include his wife Marjorie (Margie) Hodges of Valley Mills, 4 children:  Lisa Riggs and husband Russell of Clifton, Rhonda Armstrong and husband Tad of Waco, Tammy Smith and husband David of Clifton; Todd Hodges and wife Sandy of Valley Mills; a brother:  Gerald Hodges and his wife Jean Ellen of Killeen; a sister:  Doris Symank of Coppers Cove; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren: Codie Riggs, Kyle Riggs, Courtney Smith, Scott Smith, Jason Hodges, Matt Hodges, and Blake Hodges.
