Roger Bruce Clark October 25, 1942-February 26, 2014 Roger Bruce Clark, 71, of Valley Mills, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at his home. Graveside services will be 2 P.M., Monday, March 3, 2014, at the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Roger was born October 25, 1942 in Aldenham, Hertfordshire, England during a German air raid, to Ernest Frederick Clark and Florence Jean (Bruce) Clark. He married Jean Joyce Overall in November 1966. They had three children; Karen, Bryan and Graham. His love of music led him to play bass guitar in several bands, his own father being their manager. After school he apprenticed in Drafting at Johnson & Philips Capacitor LTD in Haverhill, Suffolk, England. His love of drafting and mechanical design led him to many job adventures and his son, Bryan, following in his footsteps study in the very institution Roger once taught at. His love and devotion for his family was always unconditional. It is a legacy he will leave for future generations. His life was full of adventures; ups and downs. He always said if he wrote a book about his life story, no one would ever believe it. He was a devoted family man, kind hearted and will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. He is survived by his children, Karen, Bryan and wife Susan and Graham. 11 grandchildren; Jonathan, Eric, Kristen, Sarah, Robert, Rachel, Ernie, Eileen, Ean, Ruby and Adam. The family would like to thank all the staff at Scott & White and Hillcrest hospitals, clinics and Hospice care for the care and support.
