Richard "Dick" Walker April 25, 1943-July 31, 2012 Richard "Dick" Walker , of Valley Mills left his earthly home on Tuesday, July 31st, at the age of 69, in a Waco hospital. Services will be 10 A.M. Friday August 3rd, at Valley Mills First Baptist Church. Interment will be at Waco Memorial Park under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Richard "Dick" Walker was born April 25, 1943 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Bonnie and Bill Parker, adopted by R.C. "Dick" and Berdell Walker. He married Patricia Farmer on January 6, 1967, in LeMay, MO. He was currently employed at Coryell Memorial Hospital in Gatesville. As a volunteer for the China Spring Volunteer Fire Department, he touched many lives. He had a passion for fishing with his brother, John and a love for music. Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Christina and Winnie, brother-in-law Joe Wonsewitz and mother-in-law Hilda Huntington. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Pat; daughters: Teresa Orum and husband Paul of Valley Mills, Patti Ann Walker of Hobart, OK; son: Richard Walker III of NC; adopted daughter Kim Devrow and sons Michael, Eric, and Zachary of Ennis TX; Grandchildren Rita, Valerie and P.J. Orum, Chrystal Haubert, Greg Bartlett, Richard Walker IV, Kayla Gill, Amber Bartlett and Dakota Gill; and one great grandbaby on the way. Loving brother John Walker of Tom Bean, Texas, Ronnie Parker of Arkansas, Larry Parker, John Bowers, Delbert Bowers and Emmit Bowers all of Vinita OK, sisters; Patti Hanni of Tom Bean, Texas, Linda Mead of OK. Numerous nieces and nephews and many great friends. Pall bearers will be China Spring Fire Chief Larry Garrett, Captain Scott Perry, Lieutenant Brian Siems, Lieutenant Zach Terry, Justin Dressner and Talon Terral, Honorary pall bearer will be "Fireman in Training" Dakota Gill. Dicks family was very important to him and he want them to know he takes their love and memories with him.
