Ralph Gordon Hipp

January 15, 1941 ~ January 21, 2025

Ralph Gordon Hipp, 84, of Valley Mills, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 in Waco, Texas after a prolonged illness.

Ralph was born in Crystal City, Texas in Zavala County. He grew up and attended school there as well. He attended Uvalde Junior College and North Texas State College in Denton, Texas. Ralph moved to Valley Mills along with his mother in 1976. Ralph was employed by Fort Worth General Dynamics, he would paint F1-11's, he had also worked at the Texas Barbecue Plant in Valley Mills, the U.S. Postal Service, and the Valley Mills I.S.D. as a bus driver and maintenance worker. He was a volunteer with Bosque County Senior Services and Meals on Wheels. Ralph had many interests and hobbies. He was very good at carpentry and sewing. He loved antiquing and playing dominoes in the last few months, BINGO! He was a master at filling a plate to full capacity and was never wasteful! He loved his Lunchroom Ladies, facility, and students at Valley Mills I.S.D. He was spoiled by his beloved Elaine and was appreciative to all the members of the Valley Mills Church of Christ for their love and acceptance. He was deeply committed to the Meals on Wheels Program and highly regarded by all his fellow volunteers. This dedication sustained him throughout his long service. As an uncle, he made sure if we were on a trip we had fun, stopping on a whim to climb a fence to see what was beyond the trees or inner tubing for hours down a river exploring the far side of the bank.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Perry Hipp Sr. and Eva Adams Hipp. A half-brother, Jesse Perry Hipp Jr., and brother-in-law, Joe R. Morgan.

He is survived by his one sister, Joyce Morgan of Valley Mills. Nephew, Ray Morgan (Sherrie) of Valley Mills. Nieces, Melissa Ramey (Randall) of The Woodlands, and Meredith Tull (Steve) of Valley Mills. Great-nieces and great-nephews, Perry Ramey, Morgan Addington, Madeline Ramey Reeder, Lilly Morgan and Eva Morgan. Step great-niece, Lauren O'Neil. Several great great-nieces and great great-nephews and many cousins.

A private burial will be held later by the family.

Memorials may be made to the Valley Mills Church of Christ.
