Paul Dwayne Hardin
September 12, 1952 ~ December 26, 2025
Paul was born on September 12, 1952, in Meridian, Texas, to Warren Debs and Maggie Ruth Hardin. He peacefully passed from this life on December 26, 2025. Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Connie, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage; son Warren Hardin and wife Tarah, along with their children Brannon, Braelyn, Branson, and Bryony; daughter Natalie Sader, with her children Brooklynn, Anthony, and Emily; son James Hardin, with his children Silver and Abram; son-in-law Jason Sader and wife Heather, along with her children Stetson, Kayleigh, Eli. He is also survived by his siblings John Hardin, Ben Hardin and wife Sandra, Debra Bracey, and Rachel Harborth, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Debs and Maggie Ruth Hardin, and siblings Betty Calk and James Hardin.
Paul's life was defined by three passions: his family, fishing, and the businesses he built with Connie. Though many knew him as Paul, one of his favorite names was "Grandpa". Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his children, grandchildren, and extended family—a joy captured in countless photographs and cherished memories. His smile was brightest when surrounded by loved ones, and even brighter when they joined him with fishing rods in hand. Many treasured hours were spent on boats and shorelines with Connie and whichever children or grandchildren were eager to join, always in search of the perfect fishing spot.
Paul was best known in his communities for his fried fish, chicken strips, chicken fried steak, burgers, and the restaurants, cafes, and catering services that he and Connie owned and operated. Together, they took pride in creating businesses that involved the whole family, and which provided memorable food and a welcoming atmosphere. If you ate Paul's food, then you know that "if you left hungry, it was your own fault."
Paul leaves behind a legacy that will endure in the memories and stories shared by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Valley Mills Cemetery.
