Patsy Carol Hoehn Isbell

Patsy Carol (Hoehn) Isbell, 72, of Valley Mills passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Providence Village Hospice in Waco, TX. Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Sunday, May 2 at Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor, TX. Interment will follow at the Crawford Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Saturday, May 1 at the funeral home in Valley Mills. Memorials May be made to Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor.

Patsy was born August 23, 1948 in McGregor, the daughter of Albert and Ella (Bohne) Hoehn. She was a 1966 graduate of McGregor High School and went on to graduate from Durham College Secretarial School in December 1966. Patsy worked for both the Veterans Administration and the United States Postal Service. She retired from the Valley Mills Post Office in December 2009 after 36 years of federal service. She married Jerry Dennis Isbell on May 25, 1968 in McGregor. She was preceded in death by her mother Ella Hoehn in 1960, her father Albert Hoehn in 1964 and her husband Jerry in February 2009.

Survivors include her son Dennis Isbell of Beaumont; her daughter Anita Schlotterback and husband Fred of Lakeway ; five sisters - Vivian Lange, Janet Schmalriede, Geraldine Allen, Yvonne Schmalriede, and Albertine Hendrickson; two brothers - Larry Hoehn and Charles Hoehn; brother-in-law John Isbell and wife Dollie of Valley Mills; and many wonderful in-laws, nieces, and nephews from her seven siblings. Her pride and joy were her four grandchildren, her "boys" Dylan, Gavyn, and Ethan Schlotterback and her only precious granddaughter Jenna Isbell.
