Pamela K. Alsup Filler, 67, of Valley Mills, was called home October 16 , surrounded by family in her home. Services will be at 11am Saturday October 20th ,at First Baptist Church of Valley Mills officiated by Rev. Jeff Alsup and Dr. John Wheatley. Graveside services will follow at Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Filler was born on March 17, 1945, to Brady Alsup and Jewel Juanita Simpson Alsup in Clifton, Texas, in Bosque County. She graduated from Valley Mills High School in 1963 and attended Baylor University briefly. She married Walter Jackson "Jack" Filler in June of 1972. Pam traveled with Jack during his military career living in such locations as Turkey and Germany while visiting most of the rest of the world. Pam corresponded home and wrote of her experiences for the Valley Mills Tribune, returning to the states in 1984. After Jack's retirement, they moved back to Valley Mills where Pam worked for State Farm for agents John Day and Bob Anderson in Waco. In March 2012 she retired from Vicki Holeman's office in Clifton Texas to enjoy time with her family and friends. Pam was preceded in death by both of her parents, aunts and uncles. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jack Filler; children, Rachael Delaney and husband James Delaney, and son Arthur "Chip" Filler. Survivors also include her grand-daughter, Jennifer Denali Pearson-Delaney; brothers Bill and wife Mary Alsup of Fremont California and James and wife Sandy Alsup of Midland, Texas; and many loved nieces, nephews and family members. Pallbearers will be Jimmie Darrell Simpson, Kenny Simpson, Scott Simpson, Brandon Simpson, Gary Simpson, Steven Short, Devin Alsup, Kevin Alsup and Jeff Alsup.
