Ovie Kettler, age 73, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2026, at his home surrounded by family and friends. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

Ovie was born on February 1, 1953, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to Herbert and Melva (Byrum) Kettler. The family later moved to Valley Mills, Texas, where he attended school. After school he moved to Houston where he went to work as a pipe fitter and welder. He was interested in scuba diving, guns & knives, fishing, camping, and his Harley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, previous wife, Donna Parker, sister Linda, nephew Eddie Byrum Johnson, and best friend Richard Hull.

Survivors include his wife Vickie Hull-Kettler, son Joshua & Laura Kettler & children, daughter Gena Kettler, niece Melissa Harwell, grandson Christian & Leah Kettler & 4 children, granddaughter Britney Paris & 3 children, stepdaughters Sheryl Hull, Chrystal & Brian Reynolds, 5 step grandchildren Seth LeMay, Marissa LeMay, Cameron LeMay, Cierra Castro & Lysandra, ChiAnne & Ricky Gates, 9 step great-grandchildren.
