Opal Beers, age 87, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at her residence. Graveside service will be 10 A.M. Tuesday, August 30th at the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
Mrs. Beers was born Aug. 19, 1929, in Mosheim, Texas. She was the youngest of seven born to Lee Washington and Mackey M (McRae) Cummings. On May 3, 1953, married the love of her life, Dale Beers . He preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Beers at previously worked at the Valley Mills Care Center for fifteen years. Prior to that she has worked as an telephone operator at the telephone company in Temple, Texas
Survivors include several beloved cousins and numerous loving nieces and nephews including great nieces, Linda Quick and husband, Bert, of Crowley, TX and Susan McGuire and husband, Edwin, of Watauga, TX along with their families. Opal Beers will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her.
