Michael Roberson Oct. 18, 2015 ~ March 6 , 2015 Michael Edwin Roberson, age 79, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, in a Round Rock Hospital after his four-week fight for life after an auto accident. Michael was surrounded by his family. Funeral service will be at 1 P.M. Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center Visitation will be 10:30 A.M. to Noon on Monday, March 9th at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church prior to the funeral service. Memorials may be made to the Valley Mills First Baptist Church or the Valley Mills Cemetery Association. Michael was born on Oct. 18, 1935, in Valley Mills, Texas, to Bailey and Gertie (Wilson) Roberson. He was a 1954 graduate of Valley Mills High School and a graduate of University of North Texas, where he met Shirley Allen, who would become his wife of 52 years. They later attended Texas A&M, Commerce. Together they enjoyed boating and fishing on the Texas Gulf Coast. They especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved his ranch and his jazz music. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Baylee, and a sister Janelle Milburn. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter Erin; daughter Gretchen, her husband Michael Lewis, and grandsons Bailey and Owen Lewis; and sister, Gwen Bruton and husband Dick Robert; many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. The family especially thanks to Belinda and Jude Brand and the nurses and doctors at Scott & White Waco and Round Rock for their love, care, and assistance.
