Melinda Garcia-Solis
July 23, 1983 ~ June 2, 2022

Melinda Jo (Garcia) Solis, age 38, Clifton, Texas passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 2, 2022 in a Waco hospital. Memorial services will be 2 P.M. Monday, June 6, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Valley Mills with Pastor John Wheatley officiating under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation.

Melinda was born July 23, 1983 in Ferris, Texas to Raymond Garcia and Mary (Caldwell) Garcia. Melinda grew up in and around Ellis County. She never met a stranger and loved everyone.  Melinda was a nurturing soul who took " be kind to others" to a new level.  In November 2014, she met the love of her life Amanda Toten. They were inseparable from the first date and on July 25, 2015, they were married. She moved to Bosque County and lived there until her passing.

Melinda was preceded in death by her brother Allen Garcia and mother Mary Garcia and father-in-law Peewee Toten, She is survived by wife Amanda, children; Savannah and Adrian Weeks, father Raymond Garcia, sister Beckey (Jessie) Rodriguez, mother-in-law Elaine Toten.   Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  In-laws and a few outlaws.  Family long time friend Brent Schlottman.  Mel Mel was loved by her nieces and nephews, she spoiled them all rotten.  Melinda was always helping the underdog.  That's how she acquired her "extra kids".

The family wants to say a special "Thank You" to the doctors and nurses at MICU at Hillcrest Hospital.
