Mary (Phillips) Long
Feb. 12, 1980 ~ Sept. 24, 2021

Mary (Phillips) Long, age 41, of Hewitt, Texas, passed way peacefully at Baylor Scott and White of Waco on September 24, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones after a long fought battle with cancer.

A visitation will be held from 5 - 7 PM on Wednesday at Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Valley Mills. At Mary's request the attire for viewing and funeral service is casual T-shirts and jeans is not only okay but preferred. Graveside services will be held 11 A.M. Thursday at Old Perry Cemetery in Moody, Texas.

Mary was born on February 12, 1980, to Chesley and Janie (Welch) Phillips in Meridian, Tx. She attended school in Valley Mills where she graduated Salutatorian of the graduating class of 1998. Mary continued her education at MCC where she received a Radiology Tech certification and upon graduation from MCC she went to work for Hillcrest Hospital /Baylor Scott and White as a radiology tech and continued to work up until December 2019 when her illness prevented her from working. She enjoyed her work and all of her co-workers along with the many patients she came in contact with.  Mary loved her family fiercely and adored being a mother to her kids, a Lolli to her grandkids and a wife to Raymond.

On December 10, 2016, she married Raymond Long who she loved dearly, they shared 5 years of marriage together. Mary lover her family fiercely and adored being a Lolli to her grandkids and a wife to Raymond. Mary is preceded in death by her father Chesley Phillips, grandmother Mary Welch Boegli, grandfather Harvey Welch Sr., grandfather Willard Phillips and grandmother Alma Maxine Phillips. Family left behind to cherish her memories are husband Raymond Long, her children Angel Sciortino husband Michael, Mackenzie Bewley, Raymond Long Jr., Mathew Long, and Hunter Chumley; grandchildren Etta-Maxine, Dawson, and Xander; mother Janie Phillips of Valley Mills; sister Sandy White (Phillips) of Spearman, and brother Daniel Phillips of Chilton, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved her dearly.

Family would ask that any donations be made to American Cancer Society or Veterans Charity of your choice.
