Mary Prosser Deans

Mary Deans, age 81, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away at a Hillsboro Hospital on August 15, 2017.  Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Saturday at the Searsville Country Church near Valley Mills.  Interment will be at the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Friday at Foss Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mary was born on Aug. 8, 1936, in Plainview, Texas, to Howard and Wanda (Woodall) Prosser. She was a 1955 graduate of Valley Mills High School. She married James Dean on Oct. 6, 1961, in Waco, Texas. Mary had formerly worked at Walls Manufacturing, worked at Sears for 27 years, and worked at Goodall-Withcher Hospital.  She was precede in death by her husband James Deans, parents Howard and wife Wanda Prosser, sister Erba Light, and brother Larry Dale Prosser.

Survivors include her children: daughter Teresa (Tater) Swink, her husband Roy and son Kevin of Valley Mills; daughter Brenda Pavelka, her husband Raymond and son Anthony, daughter Makayla all of Ross; brother Eldon Prosser and his wife Sue of Valley Mills; brother Jerry Prosser and wife Kay of Mansfield.

Pallbearers: Kevin Swink, John Howard Prosser, Foy Light, Dana Light, Daniel Light, and Johnny McClinton
