Frank "Polly" Hill

Marion Franklin (Polly)  Hill, age 92, of Valley Mills, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017, in a Clifton Hospital.  Funeral services will be  10 A.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the Valley Mills First United Methodist Church.  Interment will be at 1 P.M. at Waco Memorial Park under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.   Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Frank was born on September 7, 1924, in Morgan, Texas.  He was the son of  Releigh  D. and Lillie Emily (Walker) Hill. Early in life Frank use to farm for L. D. Shrader in Valley Mills.  He married Tuska Louise Wenzel on March 30, 1946, in Valley Mills.  She preceded him in death in 2010.   Frank was a World War II Army Veteran.  He fought  with Company B  98th Mortar Battalion in battles at Bismarck Archipelago, New Guinea, and Luzon  He retired from Franklin Industrial Plant in Crawford, Texas.  He was a member of Cayote United Methodist Church and had live in and around the Valley Mills area most of his life.

Survivors include his children:  Kenneth Hill of Speegleville, Gordon Hill of Oklahoma, 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
