Marilyn Yates

Marilyn Yates, age 79, of Kopperl, Texas, passed away at her residence on November 11, 2017. surrounded by family and friends.  The family will have a celebration of life on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 1 PM at 6417 Beachview Dr., Arlington, Texas 76016.

Marilyn was born on September 6, 1938, in Armstrong, Iowa, Harry Bedford and Ester Lorraine (Harris) Anderson.  She grew up in Iowa and moved to Kansas in the 7th grade.   She was married to Darrel Yates on April 4, 1955 and  moved to the Ft. Worth-Euless area in 1956.  In her younger years she enjoyed roller skating, riding horses and motorcycles, and bowling.   This is were they raised there family and all the children went to school at Euless.  After retiring they moved to the Kopperl area.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harrison James "Jimmy" Anderson.

Survivors include her husband Darrel E. Yates of Kopperl; daughter Pam Hurd and husband Benjamin of Arlington; sons Kevin Yates of Haltom City, Randy Yates of Ft. Worth, Rob Yates and wife Lisa of Maypearl; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
