Magdalene Welch Ali
(October 25, 1950 – November 23, 2021)

Maggie lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday November 23, 2021. Graveside service will be 3 P.M. Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the Valley Mills Cemetery with Dr. John Wheatley officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Valley Mills, Tx.

Magdalene (Maggie) Welch Ali was born on October 25, 1950 to Harvey and Mary Welch in Birome, TX. Maggie was the second of four children born into the family. The family moved to Valley Mills, TX to raise their children. Maggie graduated from Valley Mills High School with the class of 1969. After graduating high school, Maggie married Jean Drapeau in June of 1969 and began her own family. The couple raised two sons and one daughter. After divorcing Jean, Maggie married Syed Ali on August 29, 1988 and later separated. Maggie was employed with MCI/Helena Laboratories from 1970 until 1987. Maggie also worked at VIP Inc. in Grand Prairie as a correlator from 1990-2010.

Her father, Harvey Welch and her mother, Mary Welch, precede Maggie in death.

Survivors include her children, son Paul Drapeau and wife Krista, son Terry Drapeau and wife Jeanne, and daughter Shannon Drapeau survive Maggie. Her sisters, Glenda Tennihill, Janie Phillips, and her brother Harvey Welch and wife Jana also survive Maggie. Maggie also has several grandchildren including Tamara Wright and husband Jon, Brittany Drapeau, Hope Hall and husband Robby. Maggie also has a couple of great grandchildren. There are also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews that Maggie will leave behind.

Maggie will be buried in the Valley Mills cemetery near where her parents have been laid to rest.
