Koenig

Lynette Koenig
June 17, 1941 ~ Feb. 8, 2023
Lynette Koenig, the matriarch of the Rockin' K Ranch in Valley Mills, Texas, reign ended on February 8, 2023.
The family will hold a graveside service at the pavilion in the Valley Mills Cemetery at 11 AM Saturday, February 18, 2023 (102 Hwy 6) and a gathering at her house afterwards with food.
The Rockin' K Ranch was established by Robert Koenig and Lynette in 1992. They enjoyed their many years together under the Texas stars seen so clearly from their ranch; as well as the view for miles they enjoyed from their "retirement log" sitting in the front pasture and "God's theater" music from the outdoors.
Cherished memories of family gatherings, various livestock, various pets, wildflowers, ranch work, gardening, hunting, and fishing will forever be in the hearts of her daughter and family - Randi, husband Ray Parsons as well as children Renae, husband Cody Nichols, and Ryan, wife Kati Parsons and children Jayce, Abigail, and Avery; of her son and family - Ray Hill Jr., wife Samros as well as daughter Tessa, husband AJ Paszek and children Audri, Jude, Kaden, Lincoln, Owen, and Parker, and daughter Cara, husband David Solis and children Emma, Evalynn, Elie, and Presley and daughter Carleigh, husband Ivan Mendez child Alecia; and son Cameron.
Lynette was the last-born child of Odie and Lora Teague on June 17, 1941, in Whitesboro, Texas. She grew up both in Whitesboro and Galveston, Texas within a family of four brothers Wesley, Roger, Donald, and Buford, and three sisters Norma, Betty Jo, and Wynell along with numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Wynell is her last surviving sibling.
Over the years Lynette has become part of an extended family as well as friendships and colleagues. She truly established herself as an ambitious student while achieving her LVN degree. She became passionate in the field of geriatrics. She had shown her generosity to her patients not only with loving care but also with the giving of her reading eyeglasses to a lady patient, her lapel pin to a lady patient, her book to a male patient, a magazine subscription to a male patient, and so much more.
Lynette was artistic, enjoying the finds at garage sales then making them functional in her home, she had the ability to turn one man's trash into her treasure taking her home from fixer-upper to palace. One of many poems written by Lynette: God's Theater - The lights of the bright stars on a brilliant black stage surrounding a glowing moon announce a spectacular show and players. The crickets singing in surround sound with the alto solos of the coyotes and baritone frogs. The webs of the spiders glistening waiting to land the dancing night fliers. The trees in fall costumes rustle to announce the upcoming attractions of a new season. The aroma of burning mesquite and natural air conditioning penetrate a tired mind bringing it to a glorious wonderland bedtime story. If you missed this greatest show on earth you can see a rerun, free, from your own front porch, playing at God's Theater.....
Consider lighting a candle, for Lynette truly enjoyed the fragrance and glow of candles.
