Lucille Sockwell Aug. 19, 1927~~ Nov. 9, 2011 Lucille Sockwell, age 84, of Valley Mills passed away in a Valley Mills Nursing Home on November 9, 2011. A private graveside will be held at a later date. Mrs. Sockwell was born on August 19, 1927, in Waco, Texas. She was the daughter of William H. and Cornie (Sutton) Cummings. She was married to W.W. (Wilson) Sockwell in 1947. He preceded her in death in 2001. She had lived in the Crawford, Ocee, Valley Mills area most of her life. She was also preceded in death by a son Robert Sockwell. Survivors include her children: Carol Pack of North Carolina, Lindy Vannatta and husband Tim of Hamilton, Cindy Bateman and husband Dan of Valley Mills, Kenneth Callaway of Austin; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
