Lorentz (Larry) Larsen Oct. 29, 1946 ~ Aug. 7, 2013 Lorentz (Larry) McKay Larsen, age 66, of Valley Mills passed August 7, 2013, at his residence. Graveside services with full military honors will be 2 P.M. Friday, August 9, 2013, at the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Mr. Larsen will lie in state at Foss Funeral Home until noon on Friday, August 9th. Larry was born on Oct. 29, 1946, in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was the son of Oscar Wayne and Margaret (Tutt) Larsen. He graduated from Nolan high school in Ft. Worth and TCU with a degree in business. On August 30,1969 he married Linda Marie Gaston with whom he shared 44 years of marriage. He worked for the Veterans Administration for 30 years. He was a member of China Spring United Methodist Church. Larry faithfully served his country in the US Army and was awarded two purple hearts and a bronze star during the Vietnam War. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Linda; son Lorentz Wayne and wife Alicia Larsen of China Spring, Jared Lee Larsen of Valley Mills; grandchildren Andrew Wayne Larsen and girlfriend Danielle Anglin, Erik Blake and Taylor Grace; sister Sandra Dempsey and husband Jack; brother Richard Wayne Larsen , many nieces and nephews.
