Leslie A. West, age 92, of Waco, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2016, at Ridgecrest Retirement Center surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at the Valley Mills First United Methodist Church. Interment will be at the Valley Mills Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Visitation will be on the day of the service from 12 noon to 1:30 P.M. prior to funeral service at the church.

Mr. West was born July 6, 1924 in Mart, Texas to Alec H and Carrie Mae (Moore) West. He was married to Barbara Jean Bruner on Jan. 11, 1947, in Waco, Texas. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Force from 1942-1946. Les was a coach and teacher for many years. Les is preceded in death by his parents; wife Barbara Jean (Bruner) West and a grandson Justin Moran. Also preceded in death by sisters Annie Mae West and Edna Lassiter, brother-in-law Oliver McMahan.
He is survived by two sons: Allen West and wife Tina, Robert West: two daughters: Sandra Adams, Donna Moran and husband Ronnie; sister: Barbara McMahan; grand children: Monte, Magen, Pace, Erin, Leslie, Bobbie-Jean, Cooper, Brittany. great grandchildren: Madison and Michael Ray Mitchell, David, Sarai, and Benaiah West.
