Larry Dell (Dale) Sadler Sr was born on September 4, 1948, in Valley Mills, Texas, to his loving parents,
Jack & Oma Sadler. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Homer, Jack, Billy,
Freddie, and Mary Hairston. Larry Dell Sadler, Sr is survived by his spouse Ocie Sadler, his
children Guana Reanee' Sadler-Walton (Jacksonville, Florida), Larry Sadler Jr (Houston, Texas)
Antonio Sadler Sr (MacClenny, Florida), Kyieshia Hughes (Lawrenceville, Georgia), his nine
grandchildren, his sister Leoma Hemphill & Diane Diggs, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Larry Dell Sadler Sr. came of age during the desegregation of the Texas school system and
graduated from Valley Mills High School in 1967. Following graduation, he entered Job Corps,
where he began developing and refining his trade skills. In 1969, he met the love of his life, Ocie
Edwards, and they married on March 31, 1976. Larry and Ocie relocated to Detroit, Michigan,
where he worked for B&B Construction before eventually retiring from Ford Motor Company. In
1995, Larry returned with his family to Valley Mills, Texas, where he resided until his passing.
Larry Dell Sadler Sr sunset was Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center
in Temple Texas. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, courage, and love. He is known for his
love for his wife, and taught his children hard work, perseverance, and to set their sights on goals
then work to accomplish them.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday at the First Baptist Church in Valley Mills, Texas.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church .
