Obituary

Larry Tom Cosper
Feb.12, 1948 ~ Nov. , 2022

Larry Tom Cosper was born during an icy winter storm on February 12, 1948 in Meridian, Texas, to Otis and Estelle Cosper. Tom was the oldest of four children, growing up a smart, active, mischievous boy on the family ranch.

He graduated from Clifton High School and attended Hill Junior College and then North Texas University, earning his master's degree in Industrial Arts. In 1974, he married Brenda Poston, also of Clifton, and in 1977 enrolled in Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock. His working life spanned many jobs, from heavy equipment operator, to preacher, to safety officer at the lime plant. Tom was full of life and never stopped learning.

A country boy, he loved the outdoors and was amazed by God's handiwork in nature. He even went panning for gold in the Yukon. In fact, Tom was a world traveler, living in 5 states outside the great state of Texas and in 9 towns inside Texas. Everywhere he went, he spread the good news of Jesus—Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Turkey, and Ukraine. His friends and family will always remember his unique laugh, unconventional thinking, memorable greetings, and sharp domino playing. He influenced many for good and will have a long line of people waiting for him in heaven to say, "Thank you for bringing me to salvation in Christ." We look forward to seeing you again, Tom.

Tom crossed the valley between this world and the next on November 15, 2022, and is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Estelle Cosper and his sister, Kay Davis. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cosper, his daughters Tiffeny Howe (husband Joe) and Apryl Henrichs (husband Russell), his sons Caleb Mack Cosper (wife Anna) and Andrew Cosper (wife Laura), as well as his brother and sister Ronnie (wife Angela) and Vicki, along with many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, out-laws, and close family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Clifton Church of Christ. Interment will be at Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Thursday at Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Valley Mills, Tx.
