Kristy Atwood
April 10, 1979-December 30, 2016

Peace came over Kristy Atwood on December 30, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.  Just after day break, she received her wings.  As she left this World and without fear, she rode off on a light breeze and a cloud of sleet.  She was courageous as she shed her flesh and made her final journey home.  All with an open heart, leaving the ways of this World behind.  Joining her makers light and grace.  Kristy was strong, independent, and had a private Spirit.  She loved all those who were fortunate enough to be toughed by her well protected heart.

The family will have a private graveside service at a later date under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Kristy was born in  Austin, Texas, to Janis Cordell and Billy Jack Atwood Sr., on April 10, 1979.  She attended Valley Mills Independent School.  She joined Job Corp.  She attended McLennan Community College and worked on a Bachelors of Applied Science.

Kristy is survived by her father Billy Jack Atwood Sr., of Clifton; mother Janis Cordell; grandmother Pansy Cordell, both of Valley Mills; grandmother LaVerne Ray of Granite Shoals; sister Stacy Thomas and husband Demond; brother Billy Atwood Jr. all of Round Rock, Texas; her nieces Johnnie Cordell, Rachel Cordell, and great nephew Brayden Zonyk, all of Valley Mills, Texas.
