Kimberly Jones
April 4, 1972 ~ August 16, 2025
Kimberly Kay Jones passed away in Ascension Providence Waco, Texas, on August 16, 2025.
Kimberly is survived by her husband, Mike Jones of Valley Mills; her parents, Gary and Linda Adrian of Valley Mills; her children: Austin Bohannon and wife, Haylea of Alpine; Chloe Jones of Valley Mills; Michaela Jones of Bosqueville; Hunter Jones and wife, Sydney of Troy; Ryan Jones and wife, Hannah of Del Rio; and her precious grandchildren, Davis Jay Bohannon, Scout Daniel Bohannon, Deacon Ferrell Jones, Grant Michael Jones, Jovie Kate Jones, Zakary Miller Jones, and Presly Jones; sister Deon Skrhak of Waco; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kimberly was born on April 4, 1972, in Houston, Texas, to Gary and Linda Adrian. The Adrian family moved to Waco in 1977 and eventually settled in Valley Mills in 1983. Kimberly graduated from Valley Mills High School in 1990. She attended Sam Houston State University for one year and transferred to Tarleton State University, where she graduated with a degree in education.
Kimberly married the love of her life, Mike Jones, on December 26, 2002, where they built a beautiful life together. Over twenty-three years, they were blessed to raise five children, teaching them the value of family and encouraging them to pursue their dreams. In the last four years she welcomed the absolute apple of her eye-her seven grandchildren that gave her the beloved title of Kay Kay. Kimberly enjoyed being Kay Kay above all else and could not wait to spend time with her sweet babies.
Kimberly was a teacher for Valley Mills I.S.D., where she taught for thirty-one years. She started out teaching kindergarten, fourth, and fifth at the elementary, eventually moving to the high school where she found her passion: Family and Consumer Science and being a cheer coach. She recently moved into the CTE Coordinator position, which only fueled her love of all things CTE. Kimberly had knack of reaching all of her students and developing a relationship with each young person that walked through her door. She loved them fiercely, and they in turn loved her. Her smile and infectious laugh lit up the halls and will be missed by everyone, but her love and legacy will be forever felt.
The family would like to thank all of the hospital staff at Ascension Providence for their care and dedication, and the numerous family and friends that stopped by, brought food, or simply had a positive word or said a prayer. These acts of compassion have been a tremendous support and are greatly appreciated. Your love and support mean more than words can say.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11 AM at The Exchange Event Center in McGregor, Tx.
All are welcome to attend.
