Kenneth Alan Quarles

February 18, 1971 ~ September 19, 2026

Kenneth Alan Quarles was born February 18, 1971 in Austin, Texas to William Van Quarles Sr. and Carrie Lee Stukes Tarrant. He passed away on Saturday September 19, 2026 at his home in Lampasas, Texas.

He has 2 brothers, Travis Wayne Quarles, and William “Billy” Van Quarles Jr. and 2 sisters Tambra “Tami” Tarrant Jones and April Tarrant Hanna.

The family lived in Austin where Kenneth grew up. He loved school and was a Cub Scout for a short time while in Elementary School. He was active in Choir and played the violin for a couple of years. He was involved in the high school’s Theater program and really enjoyed acting in their plays.

After graduating from Lanier High School Kenneth attended Austin Community College where he earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Communications. He then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication from Texas State University (previously Southwest Texas State) in San Marcos, TX. After graduating from Southwest Texas State, he received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Kenneth had a large family and loved every one of them . Kenneth was a “mama’s boy,” and everyone knows it.

From the time Kenneth was 3 years old he attended a Baptist Church everywhere he lived. He Loved his Lord and Saviour! He was a devote Christian his entire life. And served the Lord especially in song and music.

Kenneth was employed by Walmart for many years and loved his job. He will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help any time it was needed. He loved everyone.

Kenneth had several hobbies throughout his life. He was a true fan of NASCAR racing. Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon were his favorites though he liked several other drivers. He liked model cars and had quite a collection. He fell in love with owls when he was about 2 years old and collected anything that was owl.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Patton Baptist Church with Pastor Pat Cummings officiating. Interment will be in Valley Mills Cemetery.

 Visitation will be held Friday, September 25, 2026 from 5-7 PM at Foss Funeral Home.
