Kathryn Place

Kathryn Place, age 93, of Crawford, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 23rd at a McGregor Nursing Home.  Memorial service will be 3 P.M. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church in Crawford, Texas, under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Memorials may be made to First United Church in Crawford, Texas or the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Fl 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or www.alzorg for memorial contributions.

Kathryn was born on February 10, 1924, in Crawford, Texas, to Gordon and Beatrice (Anderson) Frady.  She was a beautician and salon owner in Houston, Texas, before moving back to Crawford.  After moving back she had a restaurant at Tonkawa Falls in Crawford.   She was very active in helping with Crawford Senior Citizen Activity group and was formerly a member of the Crawford City Council.  Kathryn was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her 2 sons:  Wilson Collins of Ft. Worth and Bill Vick of Houston; 4  grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
