He grew up on a dairy farm in Crawford, Texas. In later years, the family relocated to Waco, Texas. Julian enlisted in the Marines and upon his return from the service, graduated from Baylor University. While in Waco he met and married his wife of 63 years, Johny Jo (Cummings) Fulp. Julian was a faithful member of St. Luke's Methodist Church. He also served as a board member for the Amoco Credit Union. Julian enjoyed attending his Amoco retiree meeting, studying the stock market and staying abreast of current events. Sports viewing, golfing, fishing, gardening, and visiting with his church friends and neighbors were pleasures, as well. Julian always loved a good old West Texas oilfield story and fondly conversed about many of his oilfield buddies.
