Joyce Ray Kimbrough, age 90, of Valley Mills passed away Saturday, Oct. 1st in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday 1 hour prior to service at the Mausoleum. Mrs. Kimbrough was born February 13, 1921 in the Patton Community. She was the daughter of Joe and Kittie (Tubbs) Sawyer. She was a graduate of Valley Mills High School. She was married to Edgar Smith Kimbrough on Oct. 9, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1967. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 30 years of service. Mrs. Kimbrough had resided in the Valley Mills Care Center for the past 15 years. She was a member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Bentley and a brother, Ralph Sawyer. Survivors include a daughter: Brenda and husband Kalvart K. Tidwell III of Crawford, a son, Ronnie Kimbrough of Waco; 2 sisters: Wilma Cook of Waco and Bonnie Harkey of San Saba; grandchildren: Brandon Tidwell and family of Lubbock, Bridget Binning and family of Boise, Idaho, Hilary Bentley and Erin Bentley both of Austin; great grandchildren: Logan and Madelyn Tidwell both of Lubbock, and soon to be Annee Binning of Boise, Idaho.
