Joyce Alyne Williams

Joyce Alyne Williams Ewing went to be with our Lord and Savior on December 15, 2024 in Waco, Texas.

Joyce was born September 24, 1930 to Jeff and Sarah Williams in Waco, Texas.  She was educated at South Bosque schools and graduated from Midway High School in 1948.  Joyce married Donnie Ewing on July 7, 1950.  They resided together in Speegleville, Texas.  They had two sons, JD and Roy.  She owned and operated Westlake Beauty Shop for over 50 years.  Joyce never retired from fixing hair, only stopping after she outlived all of her customers.  She was a member of the Valley Mills Church of Christ for over 60 years.  Caring for many family members when they were in the nursing home and visited with many others while they were there.  Joyce loved playing Hand and Foot cards with her friends and hosted the games.  She loved to cook and made The Best Cookies.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Donnie Ewing. Parents, Jeff and Sarah Williams.  Aunt, Lucy Bell Richardson, sister, Dottie Farris and brother, Robert Williams.

Joyce is survived by her sons, JD and wife, Pam of Speegleville, Roy and wife, Linda of  Moody.  One sister, Ann Bales of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  A niece and five nephews.  Grandchildren, Shanna (Wes) McCarn of Magnolia, Sara (Ben) Kosarek of Woodway and Ty (Angela) Ewing of Moody.  Three great-grandchildren, Ali Denson, Charlie and Nate Kosarek.

Special "Thank You" to the nurses, aids and staff of Ridgecrest Retirement Center.

Visitation will be 5 ~ 7 P.M. Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Graveside services will be 1 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Waco Memorial Park in the Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Valley Mills Church of Christ.
