Joseph Arnold

Joseph Howard Arnold, age 59 of Valley Mills, TX passed away with his wife by his side May 7, 2021. A memorial service will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the Valley Mills First Baptist Church under the direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the church.

Joseph was born March 27, 1962 in Hickory, NC to Charles William Arnold Jr. and Mary Helen Arnold, who preceded him in death. After high school Joseph worked a wide assortment of jobs, before turning to his nursing career. Joseph dedicated his life to helping and serving the physically and mentally ill for 38 years. He worked for the V.A. Hospital in Waco as a registered nurse for 13 years, and prior to that in the Dallas area V.A. Hospital. Joseph's career brought him and his family to various cities in California and Arizona, before settling in the Central Texas area. Joseph enjoyed many hobbies and interests, including spending time with his kids, home remodeling, firearms, refurbishing anything with a combustion engine, and dabbling in art. He was a member of Hewitt First Church.

Survivors include his wife Christy Ann Arnold and children Sarah Arnold, Joe Arnold, Jeremy Arnold, Brian and Courtney Arnold, Christopher Arnold, Andrew Arnold, Kayla Arnold, Matthew Arnold, Ethan Arnold, Joshua Arnold, and Charity Arnold. Joseph is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Caroline, Mollie, Tim, Randy, Rodney, Mary and Jerome.
