Obituary

Johny Jo Fulp July 20, 1927 ~ Aug. 16, 2015 John Jo Fulp, 88, passed away on August 16, 2015, at Grace Care Center in Katy, Texas. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, August 22nd at the First United Methodist Church in Valley Mills. Interment will be at the Valley Mills Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Friday at Foss Funeral Home. Johny Jo Fulp was born July 20, 1927, in Mosheim, Texas to John Bailey and Sally Laura (Vickrey) Cummings. Johny Jo graduated from Mosheim High School and then moved to Waco, Texas, where she completed her higher education at Central City Commercial College. While in Waco she met and married Julian Edward Fulp, her husband of sixty-three years. Julian and Johny Jo left Waco in 1950 and made Odessa, Texas their lifelong home. Johny Jo worked as a bookkeeper for Bethlehem Steel, Emco Machine Works and Odessa Industrial Casting. Johny Jo was a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church., She also was a member of the American Business Women's Association. Her wonderful wit, optimism, and warm personality were preceless to her family and the many friends who lives she touched. She cultivated so many unforgettable and special friendships in Odessa and cherished her time there. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Bun Vickrey Cummings and sister Eva Lillian Cummings. Johny Joe is survived by her children: Marsha Hensley and husband, Rodney of Katy, Janeen Agricola and husband Dewayne of Goliad; three granddaughters: Renee, Trisha, Kirsten, 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Condolences to the Fulp family may be mailed to PO Box 4141, Beeville, Tx. 78104. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial be sent to St. Lukes United Methodist Church, 1601 E. 42nd St., Odessa, Tx. 79762 Pallbearers: Justin Gunter, Jarrod Gunter, Chance Gunter, Zak Cummings, Rodney Hensley, Dewayne Agricola. Honorary pall bears: Bun Cummings, Jr., John Marshall Mitchell, and Kirk Thomas.
