John Walter Taylor of Oglesby, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on December 5, 2022, with his loving wife and family at his side. Funeral service will be 2 PM Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Trinity Fellowship, 388 Cotton Belt Pkwy., McGregor, Texas 76657. Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Saturday at Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Valley Mills, Texas.

John was born on May 2, 1959, in Proctor, Arkansas. He was the son of Jack D. Taylor Sr. and Betty L. (Mooneyhan) Taylor. He married his love of his life Christine Trevino on May 20, 1978. They had 44 years of wonderful marriage. To this union 3 daughters were born. He enlisted in the National Guard in 1981 and served until 1987. He owned and operated Blue Streak Equipment Repair in Oglesby, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters: Crystal Taylor and Denise Fry.

He is survived by his loving wife Christine of Oglesby, Texas; daughters: Krystal Taylor, Benita Reed and husband Robert of Oglesby, Ashley Lambert and husband Richard of Benton, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren: Jonathon Taylor and wife Bianca, Seth Cantrell, Austin Cantrell and Jack Hendricks all of Oglesby, Tiffany Webb of Sheridan, Arkansas, Abigail Lambert of Benton, Arkansas; 3 great grandchildren: Jaylynn and Lincoln Taylor of Oglesby and Blake Webb of Sheridan, Arkansas; brothers: Jack Taylor Jr. and wife Rita of Tupelo, Dwayne White and wife Danielle of West Olive, MI, Jeff White and wife Elaine of Oglesby; sister: Lee Ann Gatlin and husband Rodney of Whitney, Tx., step-mother: Ginger Taylor of Hewitt, Tx.; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved him dearly.
