John H. Klutts April 15, 1935 ~ Oct. 27, 2013 John H. Klutts, age 78, of Crawford, Texas, passed away peacefully from this life on October 27, 2013, surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Thursday at the Crawford First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Crawford Cemetery under the direction of Foss Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. John was born on April 15, 1935, in Martin Mill, Texas. He was the son of Carl and Bessie (Hopkins) Klutts. He went to school in East Texas and in Waco. He had to quit school in the 7th grade because of polio. He married Lona Mae Black in Dallas on March 21, 1961. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and a brother. Survivors include his wife, Lona Mae Klutts of Crawford; 4 daughters: Debbie Veteto of Valley Mills, Betty Goebig and husband Tracy of Greenville, Janet Klutts of Crawford, Lisa Klutts of Mosheim; 2 sisters: Gracie Smith and husband Robert, Lillie West; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be nephews and honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.
