John Wayne Freedman, age 63, of Valley Mills passed away Monday, March 21, 2016, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Graveside service will be 11 A.M. Friday, March 25th, with Rev. Greg Moore officiating at Valley Mills Cemetery under direction of Foss Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Visitation will be 5 - 7 P.M. Thursday, March 24th, at Foss Funeral Home.
John was born on February 26, 1953, in Bexar County, Texas, to Jessie Euil and Floyce (Walker) Freedman. He attended high school in China Spring. He married the love of his life, Deborah Morgan on October 24, 1970. He had worked most of his life as a "blademan". He was preceded in death by his parents. John was a longtime member of Masonic Lodge No. 594.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Deborah Freedman; a daughter Jessie Carlisle and husband William; a sister Brendia Jones and husband Larry; brothers James Freedman and wife Brenda, Paul Freedman and wife Kathy; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and his little dog Tessie.
