Joe Armin Webber, age 88, of Valley Mills and formerly of Waco passed away January 27, 2012, at Lakeshore Village Healthcare Center. Visitation will be 10 to 12 noon Monday January 30th at Foss Funeral Home followed by a 1 P.M. graveside service at Boggy Cemetery south of Cransfill Gap on FM 219. Joe was born July 16, 1923, in Cransfill Gap, Texas, to Jenous and Anna (Witte) Webber. As a member of the "Greatest Generation" Joe was fiercely patriotic, and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946. He was a seagoing Marine, stationed aboard the USS Nevada. Joe worked for Monroe Calculator Co. in Boston, Mass., Ft. Worth, Waco, and Denver, Co. for many years, before retiring in Valley Mills, Texas. He was a member of the Valley Mills First Baptist Church. Joe served as City Marshal in Crawford, Texas for several years before hanging up his boots. Joe loved the outdoors and seemed happiest enjoying Gods creations. Preceded in death by a son: John Webber; parents, Jenous and Anna Webber, sisters: Dorothy Erickson Paschal and Ada Murle Grubbs. Joe is survived by his wife: Olga Louise Webber; 4 children: Joseph P. Webber of Austin, Cheryl McGlothlin of San Marcos, Nancy Bryant of Waco, Mark Webber of Austin; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a brother: Ralph Webber of Longview, and a sister: Claudia Wallace of Ft. Worth.
